It is expected that GoM will submit its report to Central Cabinet on 4th December. A.P. State Cabinet is considering to meet on 3rd December to review Telangana issue. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P. is strongly opposing the formation of Telangana. It is also expected that Central Cabinet will approve this proposal and send it to State Assembly on 10th December for its consideration. It is understood that Central Ministers of Seema Andhra and State Congress leaders have softened their stand in respect of Telangana. Telangana Ministers might persuade the C.M. to cooperate with the Central Govt. in the formation of separate Telangana State. C.M. has already made it clear that whatever be the consequences, he would continue to oppose Telangana bill. He is likely to be removed from his post.
Meanwhile, Dy. C.M. Mr. Damodar Raja Narasimha met the GoM members and the Central Ministers to impress upon that the people of Telangana will not accept Hyderabad to be a Union Territory or Rayala Telangana. They also won’t like merger of Bhadrachalam division with East Godavari district. During his meeting with Mr. Jairam Ramesh , Mr. Narasimha strongly oppose the proposal of Rayala Telangana. He told them that Telangana should be formed as early as possible to remove the confusions from the minds of people of Telangana.
Later, talking to newsmen, he said that Telangana would be formed with 10 districts and Hyderabad as its capital.
It is understood that Ms. Sonia Gandhi has told the GoM to finalize its report before 4th December. It is also reported that she is unhappy with the C.M. of A.P. for opposing Telangana. In this context, the statement of Mr. B. Satyanarayana, A.P.C.C. President assumes importance that whosoever opposes the decision of the Center, has to face disciplinary action, be it C.M., Minister or anybody, there won’t be any exemption.
