Important State BJP leaders, including MLAs and MLCs, today met with Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman at party leader late V Ramarao’s residence and discussed about the political developments in the State.
They discussed about strategies to be adopted and programs to be taken up to strengthen the party in the State. They also took serious exception to the comments of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao against Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few days ago. They felt sad over KCR’s pungent remarks against Modi, who is the Prime Minister of the counry.
The BJP leaders also discussed about the steps how to take the Centre’s welfare programs to the people. On the occasion, Nirmala assured them that the Central ministers would conduct review meetings on the funds given by the Centre to the State and the support it was extending in the implementation of various developmental schemes. She exhorted the party MLAs and MLCs to explain to the people about the developmental programs taken up by the Centre. She also assured that Union ministers would tour Telangana State and conduct review meetings on the programs being implemented by the Centre.
The meeting also decided to ask the Chief Minister to withdraw his comments against the PM. (NSS)
