State BJP men celebrate victory in Karnataka

Buoyed with Karnataka Assembly election results, Telangana State BJP today celebrated “victory” by raising slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party national president Amit Shah.

A large number of party activists, including leaders gathered at the State party office at Nampally and distributed sweets and burst crackers on the road. The party workers wished each other after the BJP emerged as single largest party in Karnataka. The BJP supporters burst crackers in various places in the city on watching trends on TVs.

Speaking to mediapersons, former Union minister and BJP senior leader Bandaru Dattatraya said the Karnataka election results would give a new direction to politics in the country. He said today’s results gave a clear message that popularity of Narendra Modi remained in tact in the country. He also predicted that the Congress party in Telangana State would face similar fate in ensuing elections.

Reacting to the results, Telangana State BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy strongly felt his party would penetrate into the southern States. State BJP president Dr K Laxman said the party emerged victorious in Karnataka due to the welfare schemes and corruption-free government provided by the Modi government. The Karnataka people have scornfully rejected the Congress and the Karnataka election result was a slap on the faces of chief ministers of the two Telugu-speaking States, who had extended support to the JDS.

Laxman also attributed the Karnataka election victory to corruption-free government and welfare programs launched by the Modi government and the strategies of national party president Amit Shah and CM candidate B S Yeddyurappa worked successfully. (NSS)
