Expressing happiness over the election results in Maharashtra and Haryana States, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy today said the aim of the BJP government was to provide good governance in both the States.
After celebrating victory of the party in both the States, Kishan Reddy said people have taught a lesson to the Congress party, which was involved in scams and corruption scandals. The party scored a spectacular victory in Maharashtra and Haryana under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, adding that the party did not want to go it alone in Maharashtra elections. All possible efforts were made to continue the alliance and the party had to select candidates when efforts did not fructify till last day of nomination with Shiv Sena, he said.
Kishan Reddy thanked the people of Maharashtra and Haryana for supporting the BJP in the elections. With this victory, the workers would strive to further strengthen the party, Kishan Reddy said.
Secunderabad MP and party’s national vice-president Bandaru Dattatreya said the people supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government’s initiatives of development works, transparency and good governance.
Earlier, a large number of party workers gathered in front of the BJP State office on M J road and celebrated party’s victory by distributing sweets to each other and firing crackers.
Besides Telangana party president and Secunderabad MP, party’s floor leader in Telangana Assembly Dr K laxman, MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, MLC K Dilipkumar, vice-president Malla Reddy, Aruna Jyothy, SC Morcha president K Ramulu, Minority Morcha president Asif Ali, State party official spokespersons S Kumar and Dr S Prakash Reddy and others participated in the celebrations.
