Tirupati, November 03: Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Wednesday stated that the bifurcation of state would not be possible with pressure tactics on the Centre.
Talking to media persons at Renugunta Airport after having darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara as part of his visit to the temple town to mark the State Formation Day celebrations, Sailajanath said that the pressure tactics and hunger fasts towards mounting pressure on Centre to achieve Telangana state would not serve any purpose.
The Minister said the Telangana state formation would be possible with consultation process and eliciting opinion of all leaders, across party lines. He expressed confidence that the Centre would find an amicable solution for Telangana respecting all people sentiments and aspirations.
“The bifurcation of state should be on scientific basis,” Sailajanath pointed out adding that the Centre has to follow certain parameters if it has to carve out Telangana without disturbing the sentiments of the people in all the regions. He said if the base in not ‘scientific’ then the State should remain integrated.
However, he reiterated that all-round development was possible only with an integrated State.
