A STARTER KIT FOR GOOD DEEDS

For beginners like me, who want to start their Aamaal (Good deeds) to get closer to Allah, here is a suggestive list of Aamaal we can focus on to start with:

1. Try to be consistent in Salaath, even if it be one salaath to start with (For those who habitually miss all 5 salaah daily) and try to improve daily to achieve the target of praying 5 times which is Fardh (Obligatory/Compulsory/Reason of our existence in this world).

2. Read the Quran daily even if it be one page with translation and tafsir and try to understand it. Ponder on what Allah is telling us and how we can bring that into our life.

3. Try adopting the sunnah of Prophet SAW even if it is small act and try to bring our complete life on the sunnah.

4. Make effort to learn the deen regularly. Read simple books written by scholars on various topics of our daily life. Each chapter of deen you learn makes you more confident in following it properly.

5. Remember Allah by glorifying Allah (Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akber, etc) where ever you are. This will help a person to be conscious of Allah.

6. Give Sadaqa regularly even a little. Sadaqa protects the giver from Calamities.

7. Maintain the ties of Kinship. To start with, Just call regularly to check how they are and improve by helping them in their needs. Allah increases the life and Rizq of a person who maintains the ties of Kinship.

8. If there are gatherings of Deen in your area, joining/sitting in the these gatherings will improve our zeal to do more good deeds.

These are just few starter points and you can add more good deeds to this list and make your own list.
