Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy today said the State government would take back lands left unused by the companies after taking over them for setting up industries or companies.
Inspecting the works of Micromax Company at Fab City here, the minister asked the companies, which have taken land and permissions should begin works and start production. The Micromax has signed an agreement for foraying with Rs 200 crore investment to start their business in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahendar Reddy said if the companies failed to begin the works of their respective businesses, they must give back the lands to the government, he said. Else, such lands will be taken back by the government, he clarified. The TRS Government, he said, was ready to encourage the companies and industries in a big way if they comply with norms and use the allotted land and provide employment to local talent, he remarked.
The State government is coming up with ambitious new industrial policy to enable the companies to rope in with investments and get all the facilities and infrastructure. The government was committed to make the State an IT hub in the near future and Ranga Reddy district will make it to world map in IT and ITES sectors, he hoped. (NSS)
