The Legislative Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar has said that the Standing Committees have to submit their reports on budget by the end of this month.
Speaking to the media after the review meeting with the officials of various departments including government Chief Secretary PK Mahanthi here on Friday, the Speaker said that the second phase of budget session of the Legislative Assembly will be held next month. He said that the Standing Committees members have to work efficiently irrespective of their party affiliations.
He said that the Standing Committees have been set up on the lines of Parliament to bring change and responsibility among the members. He said that the officers of the various departments should cooperate with the Standing Committees while discussing the budget accounts. (NSS)
