Hyderabad: An important meeting of Standing Committee of GHMC was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Mayor, Mr. B. Rammohan. The committee sanctioned function for six major works to be undertaken. It sanctioned Rs. 792.50 crore for the construction of double bedroom flats. It also decided to recommend the Govt. to sanction Rs. 7616.76 crore. Rs. 2.62 crore was sanctioned to clear the arrears of Water Works Dept. for laying 100 mm diameter pipeline in Changicharla. Sanction was accorded for the extension work of railway track from Botanical Garden to Hafeezpet. It also decided to deposit the amounts pertaining to the lands acquired in connection with the construction of flyover bridge at Nalgonda Cross Roads and Punjagutta to Rajiv Circle extension of roads in City Civil Code. Standing committee also approved the worked pertaining to the extension of 30 ft road from Kondapur to Jubilee Hills via Raghavendra Nagar Colony.
