Stamps, Registration offices to get pucca buildings: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali today stated that government has decided to construct pucca buildings for Stamps and Registration offices in Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts in first phase.
Addressing a press conference at his Secretariat chambers here he said that a review meeting decided to offer hassle free governance to offer about 22 deeds through online services to avoid middlemen and harassment. Out of 4300 post offices in Telangana 900 were entrusted with the job of to offer registration services online, he stated. A training camp will be conducted involving revenue officials for transparent services, he said. We are planning to replicate Karnataka Government wherein Stamps and Registration offices work on Saturdays and Sundays he said. Our aim is to provide timely and transparent services to enable the people get registered their businesses and shops. He also said that regularization deadline of 20 days may be increased further if situation arises. Referring to opposition criticism on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s comments praising Nizam he said that the former did not spell anything wrong. Regularisation of 125 sq yd is to help the poor get their houses and not to collect money. A tribunal will be constituted to look into irregularities pertaining to lands of Wakf, Endowment and others he said. He said that the state government will take up land survey in the state from February. The Centre has sanctioned Rs 139 cr out of Rs 600 sought and the government has released Rs 85 cr for the land survey he said. (NSS)
