Stall holders gear up for All India Industrial Exhibition

At a time when only the ideas of organising melas and bazaars prevailed, Huzoor Nizam Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur mooted the idea of starting ‘Numaish Masnuaat-e-Mulki’ with 100 stalls in Public Gardens. The idea caught like a wild fire and today 2500 stalls are installed in the All India Industrial Exhibition.

Initially Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan patronized the Numaish. In 1940 Osmania Graduates Association formed an economic committee and registered Numaish society. The Numaish is spread over an area of 23 acre land.

The Numaish which lasts for 45 days will begin from January 1 and will last till February 15. Ticket for adults is Rs. 20 admission for children below 5 years of age is free.

The preparation of stalls is in final phase. It must be recalled that more than 22 lakh people visited Numaish in 2013 and purchased goods worth Rs. 100 crore.
