Warangal, August 04: In yet another attack on women, a stalker slashed a girl’s hand with a razor after she rebuffed his overtures in Narsampet this afternoon.
The victim is receiving treatment in a private hospital in Ameenabad village, her native place in Chennaraopet mandal.
She was stated to be out of danger.
The victim, a 19-year-old, has recently done her graduation (in Commerce) from Rama Krishna College in the town. Her classmate A Narayana has been compelling her to love him for the last three years but in vain.
Narayana passed in the final year examination but the girl failed in one of the subjects. She came to the college to enquire about the instant exam today.
Knowing about her arrival, Narayana reached the college and had an argument with her before slitting her hand with the blade he has brought along with him.
The injured girl rushed home and informed her family about Narayana’s attack. The girl’s family reached Narsampet and thrashed the accused. Later, they handed him over to the police.
The accused also bore razor injuries all over his body and police suspect that they were self-inflicted only to gain sympathy of the girl. Narsampet police registered a case.
