Hyderabad, January 14: A private employee, who was pestering a degree student asking her to love him and even threatening her with dire consequences if she did not, was today arrested by the Cyberabad police.
N Vamshi Kumar, a salesman in a cloth store, fell in love with an 18-year-old degree student, studying in a private college in Nacharam. But the girl’s parents asked them to put an end to their friendship. “However, three days back, Vamshi called her up and threatened her with dire consequences if she did not love him,” Nacharam police inspector T Manohar Reddy said. The girl’s parents approached the Nacharam police who registered cases under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and arrested Vamshi.
