Bhainsa, August 17: Work of changing of street lights is in the full swing in the wake of Ramadan and Ganesh festival. The work claimed lives of two workers who died on the spot while doing light repairing work opposite to Andhra Bank Darabji factory they were doing the work using stair lift.
According to details Abdul Samad (42) and Mohammad Azharuddin (38) contract Municipal employees were busy changing central lighting with the help of stair lift when the stair lift lost control and fell on a UKY wire passing nearby, as a result electricity passed through the stair lift and Abdul Samad and Mohammad Azharuddin died on the spot due to electrocution. The electric shock was so dreadful that the two bodies were scorched beyond recognition. The two workers were privately serving in electric department for the past 17 years.
