Hyderabad, March 20: An MBA student who was blackmailing girls by allegedly making videos of them in compromising positions, was arrested by Task Force sleuths yesterday.
K Harshavardhan, a student of Siva Sivani Institute of Management (SSIM) had allegedly indulged in physical relationship with five girls and later started demanding money by threatening to make their obscene videos public.
The college management planned to take students on a Bangkok tour. But parents of Harshavardhan had expressed their inability to afford the cost, police said. “However, Harshavardhan was very interested to go to Bangkok. So in order to get the money for the trip, he decided to sell pornographic CDs to his friends for Rs 250 each. Later, he started making videos of his girlfriends while having sex with them,’’ police said. The accused was reported to have sold 45 pornographic CDs to various persons.
“Harshavardhan is born and brought up at Tirupati in Chittoor district.
He completed his BTech (Electronics) from Sri Vidyaniketan. After completion of BTech, he was pursuing his MBA at SSIM,” police said. The accused along with seized property was handed over to Sanjeevareddy Nagar police for further investigation
