Job Description:
BS/MS Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience
4-6 years of professional software development experience.
At least 4 years experience developing high performance, high availability applications. Multi-tenant SaaS based applications is a plus.
4-6 years experience developing applications with Cobol. MS-SQL, Oracle or DB2 is a plus (candidates with experience on Micro Focus COBOL are preferred)
Experience with development life cycle, exposure to database development, and design pattern skills.
Good understanding of software development process. Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Experience working in Agile development teams using SCRUM is a plus.
Ability to work independently and without direction from architects, engineering manager or lead engineer.
A good understanding of any of zOS, Windows and/or UNIX/Linux operating systems.
Experience using Windows productivity tools (e.g.: MS Office).
Demonstrated ability to work with others either through team leadership, project leadership, or one-on-one mentoring.
Knowledge and experience of some of the following: JIRA, JSP, XML, C++, or JAVA is a plus.
Strong knowledge of source code management in a collaborative environment, subversion experience a plus
Ability to establish priorities and adapt as needed in a fast moving environment
Motivated self starter with ability to learn rapidly
Resourceful, organized, and a problem solver
Ability to meet deadlines and produce required deliverables
Hands-on and detail oriented
Able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
Domain experience in the Human Capital and/or Payroll Management space is desirable.
Able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization
