On Friday decided The Telangana government to reintroduce composite Urdu and Telugu courses even
though thousands of students opt for them in SSC syllabus keeping in view the request for representatives
of various political parties’ and. private school management. Earlier, in an order dated August 26.
In SSC examination, Urdu and Telugu total marked are 80 marks and Arabic and Sanskrit for 20 marks.
Composite courses are courses where students get to learn one language as major subject in First language
and a second language as minor.
In the case of Arabic, Urdu is the minor language and In the case of composite language course in
Telugu, students get to learn Sanskrit as minor language.
The decision to do away with such courses was “kept in abeyance pending further examination of the
