SSC Marks sheet will depict grades instead of marks

In the marks sheets of SSC public examination, grades will be indicated instead of marks obtained by the candidates. Board of Secondary Education used to enter marks obtained by the candidates in their mark sheets.

A meeting was held in Secretariat yesterday to review it. The meeting was attended by School Education Director Mr. Shiv Shanker, Director of Governmetn Ecaminstion Mr. Manmoth Reddy, Principal Secretary of Secondary Education Mr. Rajeshwar Tiwari and other officials.

The students of Xth standard would be given grades in nine categories. The decision to award grades was taken in 2009 and G.O. No.592 was also issued on 23rd October 2009. It could not be implemented at the time.

The categories of the grades are as follows:

A-1 = 92 – 100 Marks,
A-2 = 83 – 91 ,
B-1 = 75 – 82 ,
B-2 = 67 – 74
C-1 = 59 – 66,
C-2 = 51 – 58
D-1 = 43 – 50
D-2 = 35 – 42
E= 0 – 34
