SSC exams end; re-exams from April 9

Hyderabad, April 07: A whopping number of 921 invigilators were either relieved of their duties or suspended in the SSC (Class X) examinations which concluded across the State, except at 410 centres in the twin cities, today.

Even as the government examination officials maintain that the overall conduct of examination was hitch-free except the communal disturbances in the State capital, there wes high incidence of malpractices and an average of 150 cases per examination were booked against students.

For students who missed Mathematics Paper- II, General Science Papers I & II, and Social Studies Paper-I the examinations will be held on April 9, April 10, April 12 and April 13 respectively.

District education officer Victoria Devakumari said several students who missed the examinations approached the chief superintendents of their respective examinations today.

Even those who have not approached their centre for any reason would be given permission to sit for the examination on April 9 provided they show a valid reason. The re-examination timings will remain the same _ 9:30 am to 12 noon.
