SSC exams: Candidates to face criminal charges if caught cheating

HYDERABAD: During the SSC examination which is going to start on March 14 the education department will impose criminal charges if any of the college managements, outsiders and even students found in the act of malpractice.

According to Deccan Chronicle, R. Surender Reddy, the Director of Government Examinations said Public Exams Act of 1997 (Prevention of Malpractices and Unfair Means) will be imposed for providing free and fair exams.

Earlier candidates were not allowed to take mobiles phones inside the examination halls but now this rule is also applicable even to the examination officials, if there is any need of communication with heads in emergencies they can communicate through the phones of policemen after entering the details of the call in a register.

The exam will be from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and students are allowed to enter the examination center for their relaxation.
