SSC English question paper leaked: Curiosity about re-exam

Hyderabad: SSC English Paper-I was said to be leaked out through WhatsApp in Khammam. It became viral within no time. Curiosity was generated among the people as to whether there would be any re-exam for this paper.

Govt. is reviewing whether the leaked out paper reached various districts of the State. DEO of Khammam, Ms. Jhansi Lakshmi confirmed that SSC English paper was leaked out and WhatsApp has been used for this purpose. As soon as it came to notice, a complaint was launched at the police station.

It may be mentioned that in Khammam, 19260 candidates are appearing for SSC exam. CID probe has been recommended while making the complaint. It remains to be found the place where from the paper was leaked out. The officials of Board of Secondary Education stated that within few minutes of the commencement of the examination the paper-I of English of SSC was circulated through WhatsApp.

The officials of the Dept. of School Education maintained that it was not a case of leakage of question paper but it was an administrative lapse which is being probed.

Despite ban on carrying cellphones in the examination halls, leakage of question paper is a serious matter. However, Commissioner of School Education, in a statement mentioned that there will be no re-examination. He also said that certain TV channels made to believe that the paper was been leaked out but after preliminary inquiries, it was found that there was no leakage of paper. Hence, there will be no reexamination.

Reacting on the issue, Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Sri Hari who is also holding the charge of education told that some irregularity has been committed in this case and hence there will be no reexamination. He immediately contacted Collector of Khammam District, Mr. D.S. Lokesh Kumar and instructed him to inquire into this case. If anyone is found guilty, stern action should be taken against him/her. He also said that rumours are spreading in this case but the fact is the leakage occurred after the commencement of the examination. However, it is a crime which would be investigated.
