Warangal, March 03: The SSC Board on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into the issue of damaged hall-tickets found on railway tracks near Nekkonda on Monday to initiate action against the culprits.
It is learnt that the Board asked the authorities concerned to obtain duplicate hall-tickets to enable SSC candidates take the examination without any difficulty.
About three, of the total thirteen, bundles of SSC hall-tickets, which were torn into pieces, were found on railway tracks over a stretch of one kilometre near Nekkonda on Feb 28. The hall-tickets were of SSC candidates from Nekkonda and Chengalpet mandals, who would be appearing for the examinations scheduled from March 24. The hall-tickets were supposed to be transported in Krishna Express from Hyderabad on Monday.
It is learnt that postal employees missed the Krishna Express and asked railway employees of Hyderabad-Vijayawada inter-city express train to drop the mail bundles at Nekkonda railway station.
Though the train does not have a halt at Nekkonda, the railway employees accepted the bundles and reportedly threw them near Nekkonda from the running train as a result of which the hall-ticket bundles lay scattered over a stretch of one kilometre.
The issue was brought to the notice of both the railway authorities and the SSC Board.
