Mumbai, July 09: Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan have been getting along famously of late. Whether in the stadium cheering for Shah Rukh’s IPL team, or on the sets of Don 2, the actress has reportedly, become a ‘close friend’ of the Baadshah of Bollywood.
So much so that their friendship cost her an invitation to Sohail Khan’s party in Toronto recently: while the entire industry got invited to both SRK and Salman’s brother’s party in the Canadian city, Priyanka was left out from the latter.
SRK and Priyanka will now be seen on the screen even before Don 2 releases. A couple of days ago, Shah Rukh called Priyanka and asked her to do a long, romantic sequence with him for his dream venture RA.One. The actress, sources said, was only too happy to accept the offer.
A source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a long-drawn romantic sequence. It can be actually called a cameo by Priyanka. It will require her to perform a lot of stunts as well. RA.One is essentially a fantasy film, and this is sort of a sweet dream sequence.”

A hot item number may be a part of the sequence, but a decision on that will be taken in the next 48 hours. For Priyanka’s costumes, the producers are in consultation with ace designer Manish Malhotra to create a larger-than-life look.
The source said that Shah Rukh considers Priyanka to be one of the finest actors in Bollywood, he took the decision of casting her in the dream sequence after consulting RA.One director Anubhav Sinha.
“Shah Rukh is extremely comfortable working with Priyanka. Having worked in Don, Don 2 and an item number in Billu together, they share a great working rapport. However, he did consult Sinha before asking the actress,” said the source.
The actress, currently on a holiday in the United States is busy packing her bags to fly down to Mumbai and shoot the dream sequence for Shah Rukh’s ambitious project. The song will be shot within the next one week.
Interestingly, Kareena Kapoor, the lead actress of RA.One and Priyanka are not the best of friends. Despite repeated attempts by Kareena’s boyfriend Saif Ali Khan and SRK, the two leading ladies of Bollywood have maintained their distance.
The inclusion of Priyanka in RA.One is therefore sure to set the rumous mills in action considering Kareena has maintained that she would no longer be a part of multiple heroine ventures.
Priyanka and Shah Rukh Khan remained unavailable for comments despite repeated attempts.
