The Supreme Court on Monday posted the hearing on bail petition of suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, an accused in the Obulapuram Mining Corporation illegal mining scam, to March 12.
The apex court adjourned Srilakshmi petition after hearing the from both sides. Meanwhile, the CBI has submitted vital information in connection with illegal mining scam to the apex court.
Earlier, the Supreme Court has directed the probing agency to file a charge-sheet before it by March 31. Following the court’s directions, the CBI said that it would file supplementary charge sheet against Srilakshmi before March 31.
Presently, Srilakshmi is lodged in the Chanchalguda Women Prison after he bail, granted by the Special CBI Court, was quashed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. (INN)
