Hyderabad, September 22: The Vijayawada M P, Mr Lagadapati Rajgopal on Tuesday exuded confidence that the Justice Srikrishna Committee would come out with a solution acceptable to all, on the prevailing situation in the State.
Speaking to the Media persons after meeting the Chief Minister, Mr K Rosaiah in the Secretariat here, Mr Rajgopal, who was championing the united Andhra Pradesh cause, informed that he met the Chief Minister on the matter of Lift Irrigation Schemes in his constituency and there was nothing political about it.
Terming the on-going agitations for Telangana Statehood and United Andhra as ‘Mahabharath war”, he opined that mythological lord Srikrishna had failed to bring truce between the two sides due to his ego problem, but the present Srikrishna (Justice Srikrishna), who didn’t have the ego probem, would definitely succeed in it. “We should be peaceful until December 31, which was deadline for Justice Srikrishna Committee to submit its report to the Central Government”, he maintained.
Terming the OU JAC students as ‘our youth’, the Congress MP from Seemandhra, claimed that he was also more aggressive at their age. “We should not take seriously the statements of OU JAC students, who were in the age of young blood. We should even rectify, if they committed small mistakes also.” he maintained. He opined that change would come in the aggressive youth, and he was a best example to it, he added.
Claiming that friendly atmosphere was prevailing between the common people of Telangana and Andhra regions, he pointed out that thousands of students from Telangana were pursuing courses in corporate colleges in Vijayawada. “In 2003, when I am on marathon, my sister called me and informed that her daughter fell in love with a person from Adilabad district and her husband was strongly opposing it. I convinced my brother-in-law for their marriage”, he maintained.
Replying to a question whether some Congress MPs were working as TRS agents, he made it clear that it was an internal matter of the party. He never made any open statement against any Congress leader in his seven years political life, reacting to the criticism against him by own party leaders, he pointed out. “I will strongly raise them on the floor of the party, if I had any objections and opinions on any issue. “, he added.
To a query, he felt that the TRS Chief Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao had said “I like you Lagadapati very much” during a live discussion programme of a Telugu new channel, but nothing more to it. Without different opinions and arguments in the political system, there would be no competition, he felt.
