Rajahmundry, July 28: The Justice B N Srikrishna Committee would submit its report keeping in view the best interests of the people of Andhra Pradesh, a panel member said today.The Centre-appointed panel on the Telangana issue will keep the interests of the people of the state in mind while finalising its report, V K Duggal, Member-Secretary of the Committee, said here.
The Committee members received representations from the public and people representatives at Burugupudi village in East Godavari district, where they are on a two-day visit.He said the five-member panel would submit its report to the government as per the fixed schedule (by December 31).
The committee members enquired about the role played by the villagers during separate Andhra Pradesh agitation.They also asked about the migration of people from Andhra region to Telangana and vice versa.Some women and student representatives spoke in favour of a united Andhra Pradesh.
