Srikrishna Comm. report to be submitted on Dec. 30, panel arriving today

Hyderabad, December 16: Justice B N Sri Krishna Committee is likely to present its report to Union Home ministry on December 30. Highly placed sources of the committee confirmed that the committee will submit its report on December 30, a day before the deadline given for submission. The committee completely rejected the fears that were being expressed regarding delay in submitting reports in view of state situation.

Mr Justice B.N. Srikrishna, Chairman, Mr V.K. Duggal, IAS (Retd.), Member-Secretary, Members and other officials of the Committee for Consultations on Situation in Andhra Pradesh (CCSAP) will arrive here on Thursday at 10.55 am.

Immediately after arrival, they will be meeting with the officers of the Centre for Good Governance, Protocol Department and the officials and staff of the Lake View Guest House. They will have a get-together with the Chief Minister, all political parties, senior officers of the State government from 3 pm to 4 pm. From 4.30pm to 5.30pm, they will be meeting with the media and will have High Tea.

At 7.15 pm, the Member-Secretary, Members and Officers will leave for Delhi on the same day. At 9.05pm, the Chairman of the Committee will leave for Mumbai. During their visit, they will stay in Lake View Guest House.

It should be noted that the committee was constituted on February 3 this year by union home ministry in the wake of the demand for and against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

At one occasion the committee tried to declare the demand for separate state as appropriate while the members of the committee had also attended the parties given by United Andhra supporters.
