Senior dalit leader Kadiam Srihari today quit the Telugu Desam Party. He quit the party on the stand of the party on Telangana issue.
Kadiam was with the TDP since inception and was also member of the politburo. He won from the reserved Station Ghanpur constituency four times and was also minister in 1990s. “The TDP has completely lost its credibility. Only cash-rich industrialists were getting prominence in the party at the cost of sincere workers,” Srihari told reporters here today.
Srihari, who represented the TDP at the all-party meeting in New Delhi on Telangana, said the party was not respecting the sentiments of people of the region. In all likelihood, he will be joining TRS. (INN)
