Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today reiterated that the TRS government was all set to increase educational standards besides strengthening government-run schools and colleges across the State.
Srihari was holding a review meeting on Education sector at Sangareddy ZP Meeting Hall along with ministers T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP K Prabhakar Reddy and officials here in Medak district. Speaking on the occasion, Srihari who also holds Education portfolio, claimed that like no other State in the country, the Telangana State was offering Intermediate education free of cost to the students. “Now that the government schools and colleges will vie for standards and roll out the best students”, he vowed. Efforts at this direction have already been made and the officials are busy in this regard”, Srihari maintained.
The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the officials to focus on increasing the strength of the students and offer them better teaching with needed knowledge. “The Government has allotted Rs 250 crore for Intermediate Education in the State and steps were being taken to create confidence among the parents that their children are getting better quality of education”, he added.
