To iron out the daunting issues related to both the States of Education department and officials’ bifurcation, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Kadiam Srihari and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Ganta Srinivasa Rao today took a decision to constitute an eight-member committee for computers and data sharing and allocation of staff and hall for Eamcet counseling.
Thanks to Governor ESL Narasimhan for advising them in a meeting at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday to sit across the table and sort out amicably the issues. Srihari refused to give AP officials working in Higher Education Council to home State as bifurcation is yet to complete. He said it was not possible to shift the AP officials at this stage. Ganta said a meeting of two Chief Ministers is likely to address the issues amicably followed by another round of meeting by both of them and the officials.
Srihari offered to take a decision in the committee on the appeals of sharing of computers, data and allocation of the staff for counseling. It was also decided in the meeting to resolve the issues like sharing of officials, data and allocation of hall for conducting Eamcet 2015 counseling on June 12. The main issue that prominently figured in the Governor’s meeting was that bifurcation blues should not cause loss to the students to take admissions followed by counseling.
Earlier, they discussed the issues with the Governor, who asked them to resolve them amicably across the table. (NSS)
