Jaipur, January 26: Mercury rose in Rajasthan providing much needed respite to people of the state from intense cold conditions.
Sriganganagar was the coldest place in the state with a minimum of 3.8 degree Celsius last night, a Met official said today.
At most of the places, chilly weather conditions abated as minimum temperature showed an upward trend in Jaipur, Alwar, Kota, Ajmer, Johdpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Bikaner districts. Mercury would further rise in a few days as the sky is clear, the Met department forecast said.
