Sridhar Babu refutes charge; asks Putta Madhu to seek CBI probe into Nayeem case

Condemning Manthani MLA’s allegations against him that he had links with slain gangster Nayeem, former Minister D Sridhar Babu has demanded Manthani MLA Putta Madhu to ask the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to order a CBI inquiry into Nayeem case for impartial inquiry.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Sridhar Babu asked Madhu not to indulge in blackmailing politics. “Madhu failed to face me politically and was trying to malign me”, he said making it clear that he will file a defamation suit against Madhu for causing damage to his personal image. He said the TRS was making baseless personal allegations against him. Manthani MLA was making personal allegations only to sidetrack the Congress party’s demand that the government implement Land Acquisition Act-2013 for the land losers under Kaleswaram project. He also made it clear that there was no truth in the news coming against him that he had links with Nayeemuddin.

It may be recalled that Madhu had alleged that Sridhar Babu had befriended Nayeem to kill those who were involved in his father former Speaker Duddilla Sripadha Rao’s murder. Madhu also revealed that he would lodge a complaint with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and DGP Anurag Sharma in this regard. Madhu also alleged that the conspiracy took place to kill him before he became an MLA of Manthani. (NSS)
