SRI LAKSHMI TURNS PHILOSOPHICAL, REFUSING TO SEE EVEN DAUGHTERS

Former IAS officer Sri Lakshmi who was arrested in connection with the illegal mining case against Gali Janardana Reddy, appears to have turned philosophical and has been spending her time in reading spiritual books.
According to information, she has been refusing to meet all her family members and friends including her daughters. She has been meeting only her husband Gopi Krishna during the Mulakhat
time.
While friends and relatives have been thronging the jail to see the prisoners during the Mulakhat time, excepting Gopi Krishna, no one was visiting Sri Lakshmi, say sources. She has been going for walk in the morning and in the evening for keeping herself healthy. Rest of the time she has been spending in reading books, mostly spiritual and prayer.
Though she has been accorded special prisoner status by virtue of the position she held prior to her arrest, she has been leading a simple life in the jail, totally withdrawn to herself, say sources. She has been getting simple food made for her with the ration given by jail authorities and has not ordered anything from outside, say sources.
CBI authorities have arrested Sri Lakshmi on December 1, 2011. She got bail the next day.
However, the high court has cancelled her bail and she had surrendered before the court on January 6, 2012. It is being said that apart from her husband, Sri Lakshmi has talked to her lawyer twice. She has not met her
