Sri Krishna committee heard the view of Andhra Leaders

Vijayawada, July 13: The Sri Krishna Committee headed by the Justice B N Sri Krishna, which was constituted by the Centre to examine the demand of creation of separate Telangana state, here today, heard the views and opinions from leaders of different political parties, organisations and individuals.

Chairman of the Committee, Justice B N Sri Krishna, Member-Secretary V K Duggal, and Member Rajiv Sharma today heard the view, opinions and suggestions of the leaders of Telugu Desam Party, Congress, Praja Rajyam Party and several other organisations and individuals. Their Telugu version was translated into English by the Joint Collector Gaurav Uppal.

During the two-and-half-hours hearing, several leaders including Machilipatnam Lok Sabha Member K Narayana and several MLAs expressed their view to the Committee which heard patiently.

Later, Talking to repoters Member-Secretary of the Committee, Mr Duggal said the Committee had received thousands of memorandums so far during the last few months. The Committee is to analysis the memorandums and submit their report to the centre by specified time December 31 this year.

”The views of the people are very well known. But we are seeking additional in puts. We are visiting various places in the state during the next two months he informed.
