Hyderabad, August 19: The State Government has decided to set up special Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Hyderabad to cover plain areas in the surrounding districts of the State capital, Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju has said.
The State is presently running 9 ITDA projects for the welfare and development of all tribal areas in different districts in the State.
The proposed special project will concentrate on education, employment and welfare of tribals, who are living in plain areas of Rangareddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and parts of Mahaboobnagar districts. The ITDA office will be opened at `Samkeshma Bhavan’ in Hyderabad.
The State Government has decided to provide mobile medical services in all the agency areas in the State and also use 104 medical services in the agency areas, the minister said.
