Spirit of Hitler has reemerged in some Israeli administrators: Erdogan

Ankara: Making a scathing attack on Israel’s recently approved nation-state law, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the spirit of Adolf Hitler has reemerged in some Israeli administrators. He said that the approval of the nation-state law indicates that Israel is the most fascist and racist country in the world. He added that the law legitimizes unlawful actions and oppression against Arab minorities.

While addressing to ruling AK Party lawmakers, Erdogan also said that by attacking Palestinians with tanks and artillery Israel had proved itself to be a “terror state”.

The controversial law known as the Jewish state law was passed by Israel earlier this month, which officially defines Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people and asserts that “the realization of the right to national self-determination in Israel is unique to the Jewish people.”

The law sparked outrage from Israel’s Arab community and provoked concern from the international community.
