Spicy Veg Burger

A great-tasting spicy veg burger that is healthy and easy to make.

Ingredients:
Burger Bun – 8 no
Butter – 4 tablespoon
Cheese – 8 slices
Lettuce Leaf – 8 no
Tomato Sauce – 3 tablespoon
For the patties
Black Channa – 2 cups, soaked overnight
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Carrot – 1 no, grated
Cabbage – 3 tablespoon, finely chopped
Raw Papaya – 3 tabespoon, chopped (optional)
Coriander Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Jeera Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Potato – 4 tablespoon, mashed
Coriander Leaves (cilantro) – a handful, chopped
Bread Crumbs – 6 tablespoon
Onion – 4 tablespoon, chopped
Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
For the Salad
Mayonnaise – 1/4 cup
Green Capsicum – 4 tablespoon, thinly sliced
Red Cabbage – 4 tablespoon, thinly sliced
Carrot – 4 tablespoon, thinly sliced
Tomato – 4 tablespoon, thinly sliced
White Pepper Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Onion – 1 tablespoon, chopped
Salt – to taste
Instructions:
For the Patties
Grind the soaked black channa to a coarse powder.
In a bowl , add the coarse powder, add red chilli powder, grated carrot, onion, white cabbage, papaya, lemon juice, coriander powder, jeera powder, mashed potato, coriander leaves and mix well.
Make small balls and flatten it.
Roll in bread crumbs and shallow fry.
For the salad
In a bowl, add mayonnaise, capsicum, red cabbage, carrot, tomatoes, white pepper powder, onions and mix well. Add salt if required.
For the Burger
Cut each bun into two halves and apply butter on both the sides.
Sprinkle white pepper on one half and apply mayonnaise salad on another.
Then apply tomato sauce and keep the lettuce leaf on top.
Then keep the patties, cheese slice and cover with tomato sauce bun.
