Speedster Brett Lee fit and raring to go, says Gambhir

Jaipur, April 14: Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambir today said Australian speedster Brett Lee is fit and raring to go for KKR’s Indian Premier League match against Rajasthan Royals here tomorrow, though he did not play in his country’s last ODI against Bangladesh.

Talking to the media on the eve of the match against Rajasthan Royals, Gambhir said that the reinforcement in the form of three Australians — Lee, Brad Haddin and James Pattison — apart from Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will add to the depth of his side.

Asked if Lee’s fitness status after he missed Australia’s last ODI against Bangladesh yesterday, Gambhir said, “Brett Lee is fit and raring to go.”

“All the four are landing tonight. Their presence will lend more depth that would mean that we can afford more flexibility in accord with demand of the situation.
