Khammam, February 12: Two persons were killed and seven others injured when the driver of a private Volvo bus lost control over his vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve and toppled it over at Godumavari bridge near Mangapet in Kothagudem mandal in Khammam district in the early hours of Friday.
According to Kothagudem I Police station Sub-Inspector Prasad, the Volvo bus was heading towards Manuguru from Hyderabad.
Mr Prasad said the bus driver lost control over his vehicle near Mangapet, toppling it over. The mishap left both the victims dead on the spot and seven others injured.
The deceased have been identified as Kalamma and Krishnaiah. The condition of injured is stated to be out of danger.
At the time of mishap, the bus was carrying about 40 passengers. The bodies of victims have been shifted to Government General Hospital in Kothagudem for postmortem.
