Good news for contract and outsourcing employees in Telangana State as the State government will soon implement its decision to regularize contract staff besides increasing salaries for the outsourcing employees.
Chief Minister K Chnadrasekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to expedite the process of regularizing the contract staff working for the government. “The officials should take immediate steps after getting related details of the staff working on contract and outsourcing basis. There is a need to regularize the contract staff and increase salaries of the outsourcing employees”, the Chief Minister said.
With this, the much-prolonged decision of pushing the contract staff onto rolls of the government and hiking the salaries to those meagerly and tri-monthly paid outsourcing employees will become a reality and long wait of woes will come to an end sooner or later. At this crucial juncture, the Chief Secretary reportedly asked the officials of all the departments to prepare the list of the contract staff and those of outsourcing. Since the Chief Minister himself is reiterating on the issue, Rajiv Sharma is learnt to have asked the officials to speed up the process to submit a report to take a final call. Having much of the data, the officials are on their toes to giving final touches. (NSS)
