Spectacular passing-out parade at MCEME

Hyderabad, May 12: About 160 gentlemen cadets presented a spectacular passing-out parade of the Technical Entry Scheme-15 course at the Cadet Training Wing of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad on Tuesday.

Anand Mohan Verma, director-general of military training, New Delhi, reviewed the parade and complimented the cadets for their excellent display. “Emphasis should be laid on character building, dedication to service, positive attitude and upholding the highest tradition of Indian army at any cost,” he exhorted them.

The cadets should also improve their technical knowledge to work with ease in today’s techno-centric environment, he said.

He presented the Commandant’s banner to Shivaji Platoon, the champion platoon. The Commandant’s gold medal for standing first in the overall order of merit was awarded to Dhirendra Singh Raghav while the silver medal was bagged by Navjit Singh. The best sportsman medal was awarded to Shambhu Kumar Singh who also bagged the Rajput Regiment gold medal for the best Gentleman Cadet in outdoor training.

About 23 gentlemen cadets who are passing out will now proceed to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun to get commissioned on June 12th in various Arms and Services of Indian Army.
