Special Sridevi saris to mark her 300th Film

Mumbai: Indian Cinema’s most iconic leading lady, Sridevi is all set to rule the silver screen once again with MOM directed by Ravi Udyawar, also starring powerhouse performers Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna.

The Padma Shri laureate has a remarkable filmography of 50 years in the Indian film industry, with MOM being her 300th film. And to mark the milestone, a Chennai-based ethnic wear seller and super fan of the diva has introduced a special series of saris inspired by some of her greatest celluloid hits.

From Sridevi’s blue chiffon sari from Mr India’s sensuous rain sequence, Kaate Nahi Katate, the yellow sari from the title track in Chandni to the maroon nine yards from English Vinglish and the pristine white from the 1991 romance drama, Lamhe, the ardent fan is paying a tribute to Sridevi, the country’s first biggest female superstar and to her contribution to Indian cinema.
