Hyderabad: The Chilkur Balaji Temple located on the banks of the Osman Sagar Lake will hold special prayers in the Balaji temple on Thursday in Himayat Nagar. Amidst the Coronavirus outbreak emanating from China, the temple’s priests and devotees will recite the Apamarjana Stotram and Sudarshana Ashtakam mantras at 10 am.
According to Chilkur Balaji Temple’s Chief Priest CS Rangarajan, the devotees will pray together to safeguard India and the rest of the world from this fatal virus that has killed hundreds in China and infected 20,000 globally. Over a thousand of devotees are expected to offer prayers will not further affect their abode and fellow citizens.
