New Delhi, March 29: Facing unprecedented rush in Chandigarh-bound trains, Railways have decided to run a special train from here today to clear the surge of passengers due to the semi-final Indo-Pak World Cup cricket match at Mohali tomorrow.
The one-trip special train will run in both the directions in Delhi-Chandigarh section.
The New Delhi-Chandigarh Special train will depart from New Delhi station today at 11.45 pm and reach Chandigarh at 4.15 am tomorrow.
While in the return journey, the Chandigarh-New Delhi train will depart from Chandigarh on March 31 at 12.30 am (midnight) to arrive at New Delhi station at 5.30 am the next day.
The 04035/04036 special train consisting of one AC 2 tier, six sleeper class, eight second class and two second-cum-luggage van coaches, will run non stop.
Currently there are three trains for Chandigarh from Delhi which are running housefull.
