Special meeting on Minorities problems organized by MPJ

(Siasat News) The general body meeting of the movement for Peace and Justice was held under the chairmanship of its patron Maulana Hamid Mohammed Khan at Purani Haveli headquarters. In addition to president and general secretary, its vice president Mr. Saleem Al-Hindi, Dr. Naseruddin, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Khaliq Rashid and Mr. Ahmed Hameeduddin Shakeel, Treasurer attended the meeting.

It was resolved in the meeting that a future programme of action should be formulated in collaboration with other social and non-political welfare organizations of the state.

A consultative meeting of all parties is begin convened on 24th June (Sunday) Chatta Bazar at 11. a.m.

Invitations are being sent to all the parties by post and personal contacts are also being made.

He told that so long as the Muslims don’t demand their constitutional rights, the Govt. will adopt the policy of keeping quiet. The patience of the Muslims had reached its saturation point. Muslims can’t be patient any more. In order to get the Mishra Commission’s recommendation implemented, there is a need to exert pressure on the Govt. In order to do this, it is necessary to create awareness among the Muslim community about its constitutional rights. He emphasized that the need of the hour is to pressurize the Central Govt. for implementing MIshra Commission’s report.

After mutual consensus of all the parties, a common programme and strategy would be worked out.
