Hyderabad: Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare visited Makkah Masjid and reviewed the arrangements to facilitate the people. He instructed the officials to provide all possible facilitates to the worshippers.
Mr. Abdul Qadeer Siddiqui, Superintendent apprised him of the special arrangements made at the time of Iftar and Taraweeh. Water proof tents have been erected to save the worshippers from rain. Big air coolers have also been installed. Drinking water is being supplied during Taraweeh.
Mr. Omer Jaleel told the employees of Makkah Masjid to offer their services for pleasing Allah (SWT). He informed that Govt. sanctioned Rs. 8.4 crore for providing better facilities. He was informed that installation of public address system has been completed. A generator is available to ensure continuous supply of electricity. He also said that the repair work of the roof of the masjid would be taken up after Ramadan for which the responsibility has been given to Archeological Survey of India.
Mr. Omer Jaleel informed that various departments have been instructed to ensure water supply and electricity during Ramadan. He also told that surprise visits would be made by him.
