TRS floor leader Etela Rajender on Thursday alleged that Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, who should act impartially, became a part in the conspiracy hatched by the Seemandhra leaders to stall formation of Telangana State.
Speaking at the Media Point after the Assembly adjourned sine die, Rajender said they have already requested Nadendla Manohar not to become a part in the Seemandhra leader’s conspiracy but no use. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy introduced resolution in the Assembly erroneously seeking rejection of A P Reorganization Bill.
He opined that there was no legality and Constitutional validity to the resolution on which voice vote was conducted in the House. He reminded that while 83 legislators spoke on the Bill, 150 legislators presented their views in writing to the Speaker. The House had taken up elaborate discussion on the draft Telangana Bill than any other Bill. With the resolution, formation of separate Telangana State would not be stopped, he added.
TRS legislator K Taraka Rama Rao said the Assembly resolution on the draft Telangana Bill had no validity and the people and youth need not worry about it. He felt the role of the State Assembly was nominal in formation of new States. (NSS)
