Hyderabad, December 04: Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Saturday disallowed three adjournment motions submitted by the MIM, BJP, CPI and CPM.
As soon as the House met on Saturday at 9 am, the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLAs gave an adjournment motion notice seeking discussion on the recent attacks on Muslim youth in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Bharatiya Janata Party’s floor leader Endala Lakshminaryana demanded a resolution for the formation of Telangana in the assembly. MLAs G Mallesh of CPI and J Ranga Reddy of CPI (M) gave an adjournment motion notice regarding the irregularities in the purchase of paddy in the State.
However, the Speaker rejected all three adjournment motions and directed Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha to start the Question Hour, which could not be taken up due to uproar and din created by TDP and TRS MLAs leading to adjournment of the House twice. Later, the Speaker announced that all the questions were deemed to have been answered.
