Hyderabad, December 05: Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar disallowed five adjournment motions submitted by different parties on various issues.
As soon as the House met on Sunday at 9 am, Telangana Rashtra Samithi gave an adjournment motion seeking discussion on cases booked by the police against those who took part in the Telangana agitation. In his adjournment motion, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi raised the issue of role played by Andhra Pradesh Police in the fake encounter of Sohrabubddin. While G Mallesh of CPI and J Ranga Reddy of CPM gave separate adjournment motions seeking discussions on outsourcing of employees, E Lakshminarayana of Bharatiya Janata Party demanded discussions on improper implementation of fee reimbursement scheme.
While disallowing all the adjournment motions, the Speaker asked the parties to continue with the Question Hour. However, the TRS and MIM members rushed to the Speaker’s podium demanding that their adjournment motions be allowed. Following uproar and din, the Speaker adjourned the House for 15 minutes.
The House reassembled again at 10.05 am. The assembly then allowed introduction of three government bills and also passed condolence motions over the death of six former MLAs.
The Speaker announced that all the questions listed for Question Hour were deemed to have been answered and then started Zero Hour.
