Speaker adjourns house sine die; House passes 11 resolutions

The six-day Telangana State Assembly was adjourned sine die today amid chaos on withdrawal of Polavaram Ordinance.
Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary adjourned the House till next session after passing 11 resolutions in a single move. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao proposed the resolutions. KCR said they would take into consideration the suggestions made by all parties. The resolutions include: condolences to Telangana Martyrs; special status to Telangana State; condolences; appreciating Purna and Anand for scaling Everest; condolences to Himachal Pradesh victims; withdrawal of Polavaram Ordinance; sanction of High Court for Telangana State; IT exemption for Singareni workers; 33 per cent reservation for women in legislature; separate ministry for OBCs at the Centre and appealing Speaker to take stringent action against TV9 for telecasting footage belittling Telangana Legislature.
